The Truth About Six Packs Review
Review “The Truth About Six Pack Abs” by Mike Geary
Reviewer: Chris Puetz / Colorado-USA
Usually, most ab exercise books and programs are just the same. They say “do crunch” and so you do crunches. They say “do twist” so you do twists. They promise a magical thing will happen and 2 weeks later you like a body builder. You fall for it and buy the program for a lot of money. In some cases you can easily spend hundreds of dollars just to find out that the program is a carbon copy of the program you bought last month. What good is that? I know how this feels and how your motivation goes down the drain.
Now comes a different book called “The Truth About Six Pack Abs” and you might think “Not again, please.” Coming from the same background as you I was very skeptical at first. A friend had recommend it to me and I guess that was the only reason why I took a closer look. I did not want to spend more money on something that does not work. The website for this eBook looks like that the “Truth About Six Pack Abs” is an over-hyped workout program. Impressive (or shall I better say depressing) pictures greeted me on one of the pages. I felt depressed because that’s how I wanted to look like – slim, no body fat, and good looking set of six pack abs. As mentioned, Mike Geary’s book came with a personal recommendation from a friend of mine, and so I decided to buy the book – knowing that there was a generous money back guarantee that I could take advantage of if I would be disappointed after the purchase was completed.

So what did I find out about this ab workout program? I have to admit – The Truth About Abs thing really surprised me. This guy walks the talk. Mr. Mike Geary really knows what he is talking about. He does not use photo models to show the exercises – he does it himself and you can see that this program is working. This is a solid 140+ page workout manual and in my opinion shows the best way to get six pack abs. No miracles, no fancy stuff – down to earth instruction from Mike himself. Mike writes an in-depth style that is easy to read and to follow along. He talks about food, what to eat and exactly how to work out properly to make your abs show. The exercises are illustrated with real pictures of Mike and Holly Rigsby.
What I really like, Mike provides lots of different options for ab workouts, including 6 different main training routines for differently set body goals.
If you purchase the eBook there are quite a few bonuses, too. You are not left alone with just the manual. Helpful tools like a metabolic calculator, a book on training nutrition, (and my favorite) a smoothie recipe book. There is also a flexibility book as that is an important part of any fitness workout program. There is also a book about staircase exercises including a cool little spreadsheet with card game exercises. The package is completed by a book showing a whole bunch of additional stability ball exercises.
I really like the style how Mike writes. As I mentioned before, he seems to be totally down to earth and you can feel this in the book. Reading this book filled me with the necessary confidence that I was missing after so many failed attempts.
What does the book contain? First things first, Mike starts out with a discussion of a few workout equipment items that are helpful to reach your goals and what you’ll need to complete the program. As an example many exercises are designed without having to go to a gym (even though that would be the preferred way to do it). Mike then moves to a very interesting discussion about food, junk food, what processed foods do to your body. He also discusses how and what to eat to get lean. This was an eye opener for me and I instantly got up to empty out some of that nasty stuff from kitchen cabinets.
I talked to my wife about this program and she mentioned that she is always a little intimidated by these type of programs as you usually see guy pictures and barely women. I walked my wife through Mike Geary’s book to show her how he has also designed this program to be a great ab workout program for women. Mike teamed up with fitness coach Holly Rigsby. Holly shows several exercises and it becomes clear that the exercises are for men AND women. Let me say that again” Whether you are male or female, this program can get you the body you want!!! I think it is very important for women to not be scared by some ripped guys showing their six packs. This program will work very well for toning up and getting a flat stomach, regardless of whether or not you actually want showy abs (as an example I am not into that extreme ripped look myself, but want to show a flat tummy and some ab muscles).
After working out a few weeks I have to say that the bottom line is that The Truth About Six Pack Abs program will definitely get you the abs you want. It is important however that you follow the program in detail. As mentioned before this book does not promise a miracle to happen. Unless you do a liposuction, your excess body fat will not disappear in just a few days. However, this book provides a solid plan that definitely works. If you are willing to commit some time and effort to this program, it will get you the results you want. I hope you enjoyed this Mike Geary review of The Truth About Six Pack Abs.
