When working out and training your lower ab muscles you might wonder what kind of equipment is needed to get the best results. In general you can easily get by without buying expensive exercise equipment. As an example, I am have been using the “Truth About Six Pack Abs” eBook and are following along the exercise the author shows in detail. There are many options and you can train your lower abs with or without equipment.
Even the author of the “Truth About Six Pack Abs” eBook states that you don’t need to be able to do every single exercise that is described in the book. You will be able to get the results you want with a minimum investment so to speak. The book shows many ab exercises that help you to get a flat tummy in detail. You will notice that there are many options for gym-based workouts, home-based workouts, and even bodyweight-only workouts for men and women.
When doing a lower ab workout you just need to focus on what you can do with what you have and then build on your progress from there. Is it beneficial to have a lot of equipment choices? It certainly is and many people opt for a gym membership to have that choice. Others just purchase a set of dumbbells and an exercise ball and work out at home in front of the TV. However, you can utilize many existing household items for the same purpose and achieve the same results. Nobody will be able to tell if your lower abs were build up in a gym or by using items in your home.
In general I would like to recommend a very small investment of less than $100 at the very least. Get a so-called fitness ball (sometimes called stability ball) and a set of dumbbells. Check Craig’s List in your town or city as you can often used (or not really used) fitness equipment of people who gave up on fitness. You will be amazed of what exercise equipment is sold via Craig’s List that has been barely used. A friend of mine even got a brand new treadmill for very cheap and the treadmill had maybe 5 miles of total usage on it.
